The time for the SOLACI (XII) and for the SBHCI (XXVIII) conferences is approaching. They will be held at FIERGS Convention Center in Porto Alegre, Brazil, from the 18th to the 21st of July, 2006.
The main structure for the event is completed, as is the opening ceremony, which will take place at 8:00 PM on July 19th, at TEATRO DO SESI, with the show “ISTO É BRASIL” (“This is Brazil”), with Carlinhos de Jesus and Ana Botafogo.
The scientific program was designed by the scientific committees of both Societies in order to allow a profound discussion of the most relevant issues of modern Interventional Cardiology. The considerable participation of international guest speakers
with substantial experiences in the field, as well as many Latin-American and Brazilian interventionists, will enable a worthy exchange of knowledge and experiences. The live cases, broadcasted from three University Hospitals, will be performed by experienced cardiologists and will provide a better learning opportunity and an improvement of
techniques.
As disclosed in previous messages, there will be a session for clinical cardiologists, emphasizing indications and clinical management of patients submitted to percutaneous interventions. In this particular activity, renowned clinical cardiologists, surgeons and interventionists will address important issues on the field, by means of round tables, mini-conferences and case studies. A session directed to interventional nursing –a field that has been growing steadily and that has been establishing itself in the last conferenceswill occur simultaneously.
Finally, we emphasize that the main topics of the scientific program were chosen considering the updating of interventional and peripheral cardiologists.
